Feb 16, 2009 - John 7:45 - 8:11

As I continue to read John.. I am daily aware of how sinful I am. In today's readings, the woman caught in adultery was the main theme. The Pharisees wanted the woman to be stoned and they falsely used the laws that Moses received from God said that the rightful punishment is to be stoned. I think our life is like this at times. I make up excuses so that it doesn't make me feel bad as much or ashamed for what I did as much. I also like how Jesus forgives the woman and gives her a second chance. God is a God of second chances.. He always forgives us when we repent.. He is a gracious and merciful God.. AMEN!
